Sonya Blackjack is an online blackjack variant from Yggdrasil. It can be played at online casinos like InterCasino. It is not a live dealer blackjack game, but it is neither the regular online blackjack variant where cards are dealt from a shoe without the presence of a dealer. The game is played like a standard American blackjack variant, in which Sonya is dealt the second card face down and checks for blackjack when the need arises. The shoe consists of six standard decks, which are shuffled after each round as in online blackjack. The bet range is $1 to $500. After each round you have the option to repeat the bet, double the bet or place a new bet.

The standard Split, Double and Insurance rules apply. The dealer stands on soft 17. An option that you normally do not see in online blackjack variants is Even Money. If the player has a blackjack and the dealer’s face up card is an ace then Sonya will offer you this option. In the regular game, if Sonya does not get a blackjack you will be paid 3 to 2. But if Sonya also gets a blackjack, your bet will push. In the Even Money option you can settle for 1 to 1 payout and close the deal.
