Play n Go has just released a new video slot visually reminiscent of its super hit title 7 Sins. Battle Royal takes players back to one of the most turbulent times in English history, when Henry VIII slugged it out with his six wives. The 5x3 reels set is in the backdrop of a Tudor chapel with court music playing in the background.

Henry VIII and the six queens are the high paying symbols that appear expanded over two rows. The detailing is as exquisite as that of the seven deadly vices in 7 Sins. Assuming that the wives are depicted in chronological order of marriage the symbols would be Katharine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Ann of Cleves, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr. The King not only awards the highest line payouts, but is also the wild symbol. The royal win animations are subtle but will bring a smile on your face. The low paying symbols are the playing card suits. Battle Royal has 20 fixed paylines.

The royal shield is the scatter symbol. When it lands anywhere on reel 1 and reel 5 in the same spin, the bonus feature gets activated. You have to select one of the symbols and will randomly be awarded one of two features. Actually only two of the wives were beheaded, but the free spins feature has the tag line Heads Will Roll. A guillotine will fall on one rell after every spin and if a wife symbol is on that reel then she loses her head and becomes a wild for the rest of the round. The beheaded wives are represented in a rather ghostly and ghastly manner and award the same payouts as the regular wild symbol. The free spins continue till only one wife survives. At the start of the free spins you will be asked to predict the surviving wife. If you guess right then there is an extra payout for you. Historically Catherine Parr was the survivor but the Battle Royal slot game will write its own story.

The other bonus feature is played on the second screen and is called Long Live the King. You have to help Henry VIII escape his jilted ex-wives. You open trunks to reveal bonus prizes. In the jail there are ghosts of the wives. If they catch the king the feature ends. In a chest you may find the key to the jail. You can use it to escape with the loot collected. If you are the daring or foolhardy type you may decide to stay back but at your peril.
