The EGR B2B Awards are prestigious. This year’s awards were announced in a glittering ceremony held in London at the Hurlingham Club on June 20. The awards celebrate and reward the very best service suppliers in the online gaming industry through honours in a number of categories. But the most coveted is the award for Slot Provider of the Year. This is hardly surprising because over 70% of the online casino games are slot machines.

Play n Go became the Slot Provider of the Year 2018 beating out some strong competition. The shortlisted slots providers included Betsoft, Elk, Microgaming, NetEnt and Playtech. As such, Play n Go was recognized for their remarkable slots offerings over the past year. But three titles were singled out by the judges for their innovativeness. These were Viking Runecraft, Sweet Alchemy and Moon Princess.

CEO Johan Törnqvist was delighted to pick up the award and immediately dedicated it to the team’s ethos of hard work. He said, “It’s an honour to pick up such a sought-after award, especially with the level of competition in the category.” Play n Go has consistently been recognized in the industry for the innovative products. Johan added that it is not for them to rest on their laurels, but to continue innovating. At this year’s EGR B2B Awards, Playtech had been nominated in numerous categories, including Innovation in Mobile, Innovation in RNG Casino Software, Innovation in Slot Provision, Mobile Gaming Software and Multi-Channel Supplier. Play n Go slots, including the honoured ones, are live at the best online casinos such as InterCasino.

The panel of judges included some of the biggest names in the online gaming industry. Some notable ones were Allan Turner from Bgo, Shelley Suter Hadad from the Mansion group and Ciara Liam from William Hill. For the Slot Provider of the year, the judges based their decision on the following key criteria: commercial success, understanding customer needs, product development and innovation.

Other prominent winners at the EGR B2B Awards 2018 were Red Tiger Gaming and Playtech. Red Tiger Gaming scooped both the RNG Casino Supplier and Mobile Supplier of the year awards. Gavin Hamilton, Chief Executive, said, “… but the last 12 months really have been exceptional and it’s very pleasing to see this being recognized by our peers in two of the biggest categories.” Playtech won awards for Poker Software and Platform of the Year.
